Jayakumar Thomas

In 1997, Pastor Jayakumar Thomas and his wife, Pastor Jothi Thomas planted the Lighthouse Church in Chennai, India, where they minister to evangelize and plant additional churches in a heavily Hindu influenced population. There is great opposition to their ministry by the orthodox Hindu people, but they have had success in planting a second church in a nearby region in 2016. Their weekly services are held in church members' homes and are currently praying to own their own place of worship and service. They have developed a youth discipleship training program for boys and girls to participate in different ministries.

Pastor Jayakumar and Jothi request prayers for more opportunities to advance the gospel of Jesus Christ to the Hindu people of the Chennai region.

Batang Sidewalk Sunday School - Joann Luciano

Joann Luciano summoned up her courage one day and walked directly into one of the roughest barrios in Metro Manila. She met three boys and told them to call their friends. She had some stories to tell them. They returned as a group of 17 kids and heard the gospel for the first time. Joann promised to return a few days later and tell them more. It’s been over 17 years and Joann keeps showing up, but now she has developed 100+ of the older kids into leaders. Her ministry has affectionately been named Sidewalk Sunday School because they venture into the neighborhoods of the poorest of the poor sharing the Gospel through music, games, crafts, testimonies snacks, and teaching. Together, her teams reach over 10,000 children each weekend through Sidewalk Sunday School! Thousands of life stories have been rewritten because Joann inserted herself into three young lives.

Kids First Jamaica - Larry & Debbie Boling

Larry and Debbie fulfill a simple God-given instruction in Jamaica: “help”. Spiritually, our help begins and ends with sharing the love of Jesus to everyone whom God sends to us. Physically, help includes providing substantial monthly food boxes, needed prescriptions, transportation for medical care – doctor, hospital and specific medical visits along with the funding for these visits-, some school supplies, support to parents completing forms recommended by The Ministry of Education to progress toward enrollment of their children in school. When possible, we also provide both minor and major housing improvements often with the help of mission teams from the States.

Kids First Jamaica is growing and changing every day. To keep up with the latest happenings go to Larry’s Facebook page at www.facebook.com/larry.boling
